Mischief Managed - Classic Marauders Map Storage Bins

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!
We weren't up to any good when Abbie and I set our eyes upon this beautiful storage bin and then made it a point to somehow buy these. They are so beautiful! As it is, when I see the Marauders Map design anywhere I get goosebumps and excitement stirs up somewhere inside my heart and these bins were just so perfect!

I have to tell you something really special about this addition to our Harry Potter merchandise collection. So Abbie was the one who initially spotted this awesomeness, right? And when she showed it to me online I was instantly in love too. Then Hot topic sent some really massive deals our way. No kidding, MASSIVE deals are what I'm talking about! Now hear me while I explain! This beautiful storage bin is actually for fifteen something dollars each and Abbie and I both wanted one so that makes it about thirty dollars. Now from all the shopping trips we'd done at Hot Topic we had some Hot Cash rewards available such that if we spent thirty dollars we'd get fifteen dollars off. When we added two of these bins to our cart we were short of a dollar to reach the thirty we needed. So we searched the entire website to find one more item. After DAYS - no exaggeration - Abbie decided she'd get a Snitch key ring for herself. The Snitch was eight something dollars. So when we hit the thirty mark our Hot Cash kicked in and we got fifteen dollars off. Then Abbie found out she had another five dollar off reward. Sweet! She applied the five dollars off too and then we went ahead for check out online when ... ANOTHER five dollars off reward showed up in her account. You can imagine how crazy we were exclaiming at this point! We bought two bins and a Snitch for fifteen dollars. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Three items for the price of one bin! How cool is that?

This beautiful baby is a classic addition to my Harry Potter collection. I love that it has the Marauders Map design printed on all four sides. Some of the other bins we were looking at only had a design on one side and the rest were a solid color. So this one is visible no matter where you look at it from and no matter where you decide to keep it. I admit, the insides could have been a different shade instead of grey, maybe parchment colored just like the map. Though I must say, being a different shade from inside kind of adds more depth to the bin and makes the map's design pop up even more. I think it is a stunning addition to my Potter corner! It is so beautiful! I have a million different ideas about where and how to add this to my themed corner. It is sooooooooo awesome I think it'll look absolutely gorgeous no matter what I finally decide to do with it!

  1. Sara, this bin hits both my criteria for awesome: 1) It has an amazing HP theme as a design, and 2) I would have an actual use for it. Girl, you and Abbie find the BEST HP mercy.

  2. (A correction to autocorrect: "merch" not "mercy". *rolls eyes*)
