"Guests are coming over," said mama and I immediately went into hyper excitement mode. This is what happens whenever mama or someone else says those words in my house. Whenever guests have to come over I know I have an excuse to bake (not that I need one).
The Girly Pearly cupcakes were the result of one such excuse. I had been dying to come up with a gorgeous new design of cupcakes. It seemed like the design had come to me during one of my most random day dreams and then I wanted to make it as soon as possible. What I wanted was to have original Sara's Baked Creations' designs that were exclusive to my brand name (I have a brand name? Wow, I have a brand name! AWESOME!) and the Girly Pearly design was going to be one of the many I'd been planning.
The house was full of the very vanilla scent of my Vanilla Cupcakes that day. While they cooled on the kitchen counter so that I could begin decorating them, I worked on the cupcake toppers. I hand piped the pretty flowers.
For the toppers I melted green candy melts and piped adorable flowers. I then added three red pearls to each flower's center. Once they were completely set I dusted them with gold pearl dust so that they had the perfect girly shimmer to them. These cupcakes were going to be lovely girly masterpieces!
See? Told you. Lovely Girly Pearly masterpieces! Each cupcake was a work of art!
I usually love a classic swirl of frosting but for these cupcakes I went with something different. I colored my frosting pink and then did a French swirl on each cupcake. Every twist of the swirl was embellished with gold pearls. On the top I added the lovely flowers I'd piped and then a red and pink heart finished this beautiful design.
Even the back of the cupcakes looked pretty. Gold pearls everywhere! LOVELY!
They looked dreamy! They looked lovely! They looked super girly!
I loved the detail the little shimmer on the flowers had added to the cupcakes.
The Girly Pearly cupcakes were done and ready ... an original Sara's Baked Creations' design!
