Sour Cream Blueberry Crumb Muffins

You've just walked into a gourmet cafe bakery thingy where the sweet scent of blueberry cinnamon-y goodness has wafted through the air to greet your senses. It is deliciousness at its finest. It's gourmet!

The Sour Cream Blueberry Crumb Muffins were straight out of a gourmet cafe, I tell you! The typical classy look, the extremely intense flavors, the deliciousness ... only better and home made!

I took the picture above when the muffins came out fresh from the oven. The blueberries were bubbling, the crumbs were shining with cinnamon sugar, and the house smelled heavenly rich of sweetness. I'm crazy for desserts topped with cinnamon-ish crumbs. I just am totally in love with the taste and feel of those crumbs in my mouth. Deep, deep, deep kind of love. These muffins were basically love for me! So good!

If I were to describe these muffins in the fewest number of words I'd say they were 'classically intense'. Yesssss, those are the perfect words for them.

I might be totally crazy here but let me say this ... I think that there are certain baked desserts which fit the most perfectly in white plain cupcake liners. Something about those white liners is classic, especially how they go transparent-ish once baked. My Sour Cream Blueberry Crumb Muffins peeked through the liners, tantalizing whoever set their eyes upon them. If looks could kill ...

These muffins weren't just stunning. They were intense. The sour cream lent a certain extreme kind of moistness to the muffins which contrasted with the crunchiness of the crumbs in the most deliciously serious war of textures. The flavors were a heavenly combination as it is: blueberries, cinnamon, sugar, butter. What could go wrong? This was perfection. This was it. This was just it. Please tell me I'm not the only one who wants to grab this muffin off my screen and stuff it in my face immediately. Asap. Aaaahhhhh! I can not handle this!

Let me tell you something, I don't enjoy eating fresh blueberries. Yes, you heard me right. I don't enjoy eating fresh blueberries but when you bake them, I go bonkers. I can stuff batches of baked blueberry desserts down my throat and not grow tired of them. Oh and the combination of blueberries and cinnamon? Out of the world. And buttery crumbs? CRAZY! And these muffins? Absolutely delicious. Absolutely mind blowingly amazing! Gourmet. Classic. Love. I think I need help now that I've revisited them in these pictures again!
