Dumbledore's Pensieve Memory Set

Admit it ... when you first read about Dumbledore's Pensieve you wished you had one too. I know I did. I was fascinated by it and I wanted one so bad. I'm a scrapbooking kind of memory-hoarding person since always and honestly that Pensieve is like a video scrapbook to me. *laughs* How extraordinarily cool would it be if I had one! Unlike Dumbledore I'd only store happy memories in mine and go back and relive them whenever the world tries to swallow me alive. It would be brilliant. I might just live in my Pensieve more than my real world!

But unfortunately I do not have a real Pensieve and can probably not have one in near future either. So, lets talk about this glorious Dumbledore's Pensieve Memory Set I bought for myself instead! It is beautiful and the nearest I can get to the real deal for now!!! When Abbie and I first came across this we instantly fell in love. There were no discussions - we just knew we wanted this. Since Eid was approaching we decided this would be the HP present we'd ask our bro to gift us. (He doesn't know how to give gifts to us so he has asked us to decide and send links every Eid!)

Dumbledore's Pensieve Memory Set is a brilliant addition to our HP collection. On the outside it looks like, well, the Pensieve. The gold is a beautiful shiny gold and it is shaped just like a cabinet containing all the vials of memories. The detailing is beautiful, right down to the gold latch/lock thing on the front.

You can see the vials are full of memories - white shimmery smoke like memories floating all around. So beautiful and so perfectly done. But wait till I open this beauty and show you what all is inside ...

Ta daaaaaaaaaa!!!

On the left and right sides of the 'cabinet' opening up you find these beautiful super delicate looking empty vials so that whenever you feel like you need to preserve a memory you can just keep these in your pocket and whip them out and fill them up whenever. So convenient right?

THIS gorgeousness sits in the middle of the shelf. This is the actual Pensieve you get as part of this box. It is a memory book with the basin like Pensieve in the middle on its cover. I don't know how they've made it but the blue has this depth to it so it actually does look like you could fall through inside and access all those precious memories.

Next to the Pensieve Memory Book is the Elder Wand! Of course it is Dumbledore's Pensieve so we get an Elder Wand. This is actually a pen if you uncap the top. Very well detailed and too cool!

Love that the vials can be uncapped. Makes it so detailed and so real!

And here's a closeup of the Pensieve. The picture still does not do justice to the whole 'depth thing' I explained earlier. It looks like it is a basin, a deep one, and something glittery and magical is happening inside this for sure!!!

Ready to see what is inside? ...

When you open up to this first page you find a beautiful blue pattern. I love it when journals open up to fancy pages! Kinda crazy?

It is a beautiful journal! Everywhere you see you find something awesome. It has quotes all around and decorated with fancy frames and designs too. Like this one - this quote always fascinates me ... Rowling had no idea when she wrote this that it would come true and that too on SUCH a grand scale. It's like her very own prophecy! Wow.

Another beautiful quote from the memory book!

And of course, what I believe, is the best quote from the Potterverse!! "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." It would've been incomplete without this one!

This is a beautiful beautiful addition to my collection. I'm using the Pensieve as a gorgeous display in my Harry Potter shelf along with the vials and the wand. As for the memory book, I'm planning on using it as a scrapbook/photo album for my trips to the Wizarding World in Orlando with Abbie. Now THAT is a fab idea, isn't it? It'll literally be my Pensieve, collecting all my precious memories!
