As if October wasn't already a super fantabulously awesome month full of celebrations and birthdays and Fall and happiness and all that good stuff, this year I found yet another reason to get excited: SPOOKTOBER #DOODLEWEEN! A doodle challenge hosted by the very awesome @kellylouillustration and @dorkfaceblog on Instagram, Spootober was extremely fun to do! Now before I begin talking (endlessly) I must say this: if you don't already follow both these fabulous accounts on Instagram, stop whatever you're doing immediately and go and follow these ladies! They're so talented and super cool!!!
Okay. Now that I've said that, let me resume my (endless) talking. Sooooo, this year the usual OctoPhoMo challenge wasn't as happening and active as it has been over the past few years. I was disappointed and felt let down. So when I found myself enjoying Doodleween so much I was sooooo happy. Now, I don't usually draw stuff because I'm that person, you know, the one who needs to look at a picture to be able to draw her own version of it. So I was a wee bit scared when I decided I was taking part in the challenge. The prompts seemed to be such fun and I was wondering if I would even be able to draw all of them. But you know what? I did such a fab job I am so proud of my own self! Hahaha! My doodles were actually so awesome and I even put in extra effort at taking beautiful pictures so that my insta feed stayed its usual pretty self. My doodles were so pretty I decided I'd post them all here on my blog too - you know ... a little showing off is always needed! *winks*
October 01: Pumpkin
It's going to change into Cinderella's carriage if you look at it long enough.
October 02: Eye Balls
Look at the fleshy colors. It needs sleep too ... pretty bloodshot.
October 03: Candy
If it's smiling does it mean it won't make you gain weight?
October 04: Grave
See what I meant when I said I was really proud of my doodles? This is totz awz, righhhhht?
October 05: Witch
She's flying away on her Nimbus 2019!
October 06: Movie
Extra points for the movie tickets as picture props. Now let me grab some popcorn.
October 07: Spaceship
If you're me you can tell one side is a tad bit smaller than the other! Hahaha! But it's still pretty cool!
October 08: Cat
Now isn't she a cutie pie? Took inspiration from a doodle tutorial on Pinterest for this one!
October 09: Skull
*Insert Pirates of the Caribbean music here*
October 10: Potions
Brewing up some hot, strong love - Celestina Warbeck style.
October 11: Nightmare
A huge shark hidden by the grand seas is totally the stuff of my worst nightmares.
October 12: Alien
I'd befriend this guy over a human any day. He's cute!
October 13: Undead
*audience claps, cheers, and goes mad* This is some SERIOUSLY good doodling, you guys! Look at the detail I added with the colors and the nasty tears and rips in the skin and the bugs on the ground. EEEEEW. Grosses me out too.
October 14: Halloween Heroes
After not knowing what to doodle for this one and making up my mind that I'd skip this prompt for sure ... THIS HAPPENED. He's a superhero ghostie. And he's so cute!
October 15: Halloween Villains
Ghost face. I think one of my best drawings. EVER.
October 16: Cauldron
Fire burning, cauldron bubble! Double, double, toil, and trouble!
October 17: Ghost
Isn't she a fancy cutie pie? She watches Gossip Girl on repeat.
October 18: Trick or Treat
This one ate too many candies and gained a bit. Or maybe that was just my drawing!
October 19: Vampire
Somehow I ended up deleting this picture from my phone so I'm posting the picture straight from my Instagram. Or maybe the vampire just disappeared. Right?
October 20: Spider
I fear spiders. After this doodle I had trouble keeping my doodle sheets with me.
October 21: Frankenstein
He seriously needed to sleep. He had a migraine.
October 22: Haunted House
Okayyyyy, is this AWESOME doodling or what? Look at the details with the colors of the background and the ghost things on the rooftops. I totally deserve an award. Aaaaand the award for awesomely spectacularly amazeballs doodling skills goes to the one and only fantabulous SARAALLIE! *audience goes mental*
October 23: Skeleton
Excuse me, he's late for his chiropractor's appointment.
October 24: Bat
Creepy background music would totally do justice to this bat drawing. My question is, is she flying or is she hanging upside down in this one?
October 25: Monsters
Maybe the real monsters are the human beings I'm surrounded with. Maybe what everyone calls 'monsters' are just cute fuzzy silly beings that would become much better friends than humans.
October 26: Spellbook
I'm ready for my award acceptance speech now, really. Isn't this gorgeous? Except for the candle - I think I could have done a better candle! Hahahaha! Bellatrix would love this spellbook with all the info about the Cruciatus Curse.
October 27: Moon
Okay, this is brilliance! Wait, keep looking, Aladdin and Jasmine are going to swoosh past my beautiful moon on their magic carpet any second.
October 28: Phobia
Excuse me, I have to go puke now. This is disgusting. I'm pretty Trypophobic. I even hated drawing this one on paper.
October 29: Spirits
Oooooooooo. Eeyyyyyyyy.
That was my attempt at creepy music, in case you didn't get it. These spirits are pretty upset and distressed. I think they've been asked to socialize.
October 30: Poison
Attention, attention. Spill on aisle four.
October 31: Halloween Party
Instead of doodling for the last prompt allllllll my fantabulous doodles came together to enjoy a fantabulous Halloween party! How genius am I, right?
And finally, one last time, all my doodles in their shining glory!!!
I tried picking a favorite but I failed. However, I do think my best ones from each sheet are Ghost Face, the zombie, and the haunted house! I realllllly am very proud of myself! Again, huge thanks to the hosts and biggggg round of applause for my awesome self. I really hope this is hosted again next year because I had wayyyy too much fun. Not to forget, it was also very relaxing to draw and color - gave me lots of peace! *sighs*
