So what is Potterific July for those who need a refresh and those who're here for the first time?
Since July is the month when we all celebrate Harry Potter's birthday and it's so very special to us, every year I celebrate POTTERIFIC JULY right here on my blog. It's anything and everything Harry Potter and I discuss stuff from the books and movies, show off my merch, and live the Potterlife for a full month. Part of this awesome celebration is the Instagram Challenge!!!
I'd been doing Potterific for a couple of years when in 2018 I decided to add an Instagram challenge to make my celebrations even more happier. The Potterific July Instagram Challenge is one of the best decisions I've made in my life so far. It's very first year, it was received with such enthusiasm and it became a huge hit as hundreds of Potterheads joined in from all across the globe. On popular demand, I hosted it again in 2019 to witness another very brilliant year. So of course, I am back with another one for 2020! This will be Potterific's third year and I'm so excited!
This year, everyone has been telling me they REALLY needed Potterific July with all the negativity going on in the world. You know what? I agree one hundred percent with that. It's been very sad and depressing with the pandemic lock down and what not. We really really really do need our July to be Potterific! And so it shall be!!!
Hermione is THE level of excitement we're all feeling right now!!! YAAASSS!
Here are the details, as they were posted last year, for everyone who wishes to join:
"No commitments, no pressure. Join me on Instagram and follow along the prompts all month. If you miss a prompt here and there that's fine too! No rules except tag your photos with the hashtag #PotterificJuly so whoever is participating in the challenge can find your posts too! I'll be featuring as many posts as I can in my stories throughout the month (I end up sharing everybody!). I can't wait to meet new Potterheads on Instagram and connect with those I already know through the challenge.
So here's what to do:
- Grab a copy of the prompt list by saving/screenshotting the picture above.
- Get ready by planning or 'drafting' your picture posts.
- Somehow let me know you'll be joining me for the #PotterificJuly Instagram challenge. You can find me on Instagram at @Saraallie and DM or comment on the prompt post there. You could also leave me a comment below this blog post and leave a link to your Insta for me to check out.
- Be there on the first of July with the hashtag #PotterificJuly shining on your posts on Insta!
