Yesssssssssssss! *throws up hands in the air and dances all around in circles*
This Black Friday 2020 got me the first ever tablet of my life!
It's the Samsung Galaxy A7 and I'm already in love with it!
And guess what?
I named her Betsey!
So let me rewind first and tell you what basically happened. See, Abbie had an iPad since the past decade which she had abandoned. I used to borrow it when I had to do my treadmill and workout seshs so that I had Netflix to keep me from dying of workout-boredom. It's a thing, trust me; cause of death on my grave could very easily have been 'workout-boredom'. *rolls eyes* Now, obviously since the entire world already knows iPhones and iPads get those gazillion updates and the oldest versions of these devices eventually are rendered useless. Same happened with Abbie's iPad and recently it slapped me in the face when it said it couldn't support any apps anymore. Apps like Disney Plus and Hotstar and all refused to download and that's when I started fearing that one day Netflix would die on me too.
Netflix death is equal to iPad's death because it was only being used for Netflix.
iPad's death is equal to my death - cause of death: workout boredom. Remember?
So before I died, I told my tech-savvy big bro about the issue and poked him one million and forty three times to find something during the convenient Black Friday deals. Another iPad was out of the question because I refused to spend so much on a tablet just to watch Netflix on it when I did get into my workout moods. Why research on stuff yourself when bro can do it, right? So his task was to find something much more affordable but still super cool for me. He did his part and sent me a link to a Youtube review of the Samsung Galaxy A7. I liked what I saw and then instantly shifted from my lets-find-something gear to my omg-should-I-even-really-spend-and-buy-this-or-keep-working-the-old-till-it-dies-on-me gear. (I suffer from serious buying indecision problems ... they should name a disorder about it after me or something to make it official!)
Guess what tech-savvy big bro did? I was discussing for the millionth time with him over Whatsapp about the tablet and its features and its price and its blah-blah and then I slept. When I woke up I texted and asked him what to do and he replied, "I bought it already .. you were taking too long to decide :P" Now please imagine the level of OMGs and what nots I must have felt in my heart! My heart exploded with happiness basically!!! He ordered it on my behalf before I could indulge in further discussions! Hahahahahahahaha!
And now, I'm enjoying my darling Betsey so much! It is so awesome! The display is super crisp, the colors are so bright and perfect, the speakers are AWESOME! It's the perfect size and just so cute! I have already watched two full movies and lots of Gilmore Girls thanks to how convenient it is now. With the kind of busy lifestyle I have I almost never used to get time to watch anything. This is EPIC!
Now lets talk about how Betsey got her name! When bro ordered my tablet the only color available was silver with a white front. So unlike all the phones I've had in the past, which were black, Betsey the tablet is white from the front. At first I took some time getting used to that but now I love it so much because it makes it all the more girly! I ordered a beautiful floral case for it and I just can't take my eyes off of it anymore because LOOK how girly and cute Betsey looks!!! That's actually how Betsey got its name too. See at first I thought I'd name her Hedwig because she was white and Harry Potter's owl was white. Though my heart didn't completely settle on that. When I ordered the floral case and she got all pink I was all the more confused about its name. Then I took her to my room for a picture session to show her off on my blog and I used my Betsey Johnson (recent birthday gift to myself) towel to create some wow in my pictures as a background and then it just clicked. It was going to be named Betsey!!!
Cute and girly and fancy and oh so fabulous Betsey. Allow me a lame joke moment here too because I told Abbie, "She's like Betsey, you know? Betsey Tabsung sort of. Get it?" Get it? Samsung. Johnson. Betsey Johnson. Betsey Tabsung? Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! I'm kidding. Big time lame joke! She has no last name. She's just Betsey! My super awesome new tablet which BY THE WAY I have fallen in loooooove with!!! *heart eyes*
