Gubby's and Chunky's Ramadan Baskets

Ramadan is always a festive affair in my house, especially ever since we've become aunties to two extremely naughty and intensely adorable nieces. We try to keep Ramadan vibes super strong throughout the month so they can feel them and get excited. We decorate the kitchen and create Ramadan countdowns and what not. It's all very exciting! Last year, in addition to everything we do, Abbie also decided to give Gubby some Ramadan presents. She loved receiving them and so it became a 'thing' ... Ramadan presents! *laughs* This year, with Chunky doodle around we did Ramadan gift baskets for both of them dollies. They both loved them! And Abbie and I loved putting them together. It was super fun!

The Ramadan gifts' display in our living room on the first day of Ramadan!
It looked so pretty and exciting! Gubby and Chunky squealed when they saw it!

This year their Ramadan baskets included some books, an outfit, bibs, scarves, drinkware, water squirting guns and some other little things. Since it was Chunky's first Ramadan gift basket she also got her first Ja'anamaz (prayer mat) and a tiny light up lantern. Gubby had received a lantern last year so we brought it out for our display this time too. I'm actually jealous of these babies - nobody gets me anything for Ramadan! Hahaha! I must get a hold on myself. Hahaha! Let me show off the gift baskets in detail ...

First of all a moment of appreciation for how adorable the baskets were themselves. We got these super adorable Spring baskets. Chunky got the pink bunny with the adorable ears and Gubby got the silly sloth with the cutest smile. I think the baskets were loved the most by the babies, even more than the gifts themselves!

Gubby's sloth basket included Spring themed stickers, Dr. Seuss highlighter pens, Fancy Nancy stickers, a Spring birdhouse activity, and a water gun.

Abbie got her this beautiful new book. Crescent Moons and Pointed Minarets - A Muslim Book of Shapes. It has gorgeous illustrations inside that are beautiful to look at.

We also got her another book called 'All About Akhlaaq' - A Fun Way to Learn and Practice Moral Values. I think this one will be interesting for Gubby to do! She'll have fun with it.

Abbie and I got us llama shaped mugs to have Chai in Ramadan so obviously we got something for Gubby too. Her mug was this cool cat with cat eye glasses and all. I love it so much - I might borrow it at times to drink in too! Hahaha!

Gubby's outfit was of a matching llama theme. Again, I'm jealous. I couldn't find anything this cute for myself. Not fair at all. Plus those pretty pom poms!!! SO CUTE! She also got the beautiful Ajrak print kameez and the pretty scarf! And look at that bib, the cat matched with her mug!

Chunky's Bunny basket included a Spring sand bottle activity, a bowl and plate set that had dinosaurs on it, a sticker sheet, and a water gun. She got a beautiful blue Ja'anamaz and a book too. Her book was named Hassan and Aneesa Love Ramadan. It's a very sweet story about little kids experiencing Ramadan and being fascinated and very excited about it.

Chunky's little lantern lit up and looked so pretty! As Abbie said, "Our lantern family is growing." *wipes happy tears*

We searched all over the world to find a llama outfit for Chunky too but since we couldn't find it in her size we got her this instead. It has giraffes on it - close enough, okay? Lalalalalala ... can't hear you disagree. Chunky got matching socks too, and a bib, and a matching pretty scarf.

Tadaaaaaaaaaa! Of course, of course, Gubby and Chunky got a Ramadan favors box. We do it every year and send it to our neighbors and friends but this year we did it just for our nieces. It was full of candy and Ramadan cookies by the one and only fantabulous moi.

The boxes were perfect with our Spring themed Ramadan everything! They were colorful and floral and so pretty! They even had glitter details!

I'll be sharing detailed pictures and behind the scenes of my cookies from this year later. That's for another blog post! For now, I'll just leave the world with a beautiful picture of the Ramadan favors box Gubby and Chunky got this year!

Their Ramadan baskets and presents were such a hit. The look on Gubby's face when she FINALLY got her presents was priceless. And the little one smiled super wide like she always does. They're so precious, my heart is melting! I love how we make Ramadan festive and celebrate every moment. It makes for such nice memories and such beautiful vibes in the house throughout the month! *sighs* Makes me happy!
