Woah what an year 2020 was! Everything pretty much got cancelled because of the pandemic. Ugh how much I hate this Covid torture ruining my world! But I still managed to have a good year. I had my fun, I did my things, I had some major life events and changes happening, and most importantly I survived!!! I survived the year with the deadly pandemic spreading around me. Thank God! Thank God so so so much! And my family made it through the year too. Thank God a gazillion times for not letting any of my family members fall sick!!! That was really a relief because I've been so scared all year long! *breathes in and out* Let me calm down and take a look back at my year! Here's my 2020 in pictures!
Started the year with a simple wish!
The New Year Began at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
We fought against time and were the first to enter the Wizarding World using our early park access. We'd been told not to try doing the Forbidden Journey again because our Cinderella-midnight-deadline gave us only a few hours in the parks on our last day of the vacation. So of course it was the perfect day to challenge ourselves and fight the world. We did the Forbidden Journey, alright! We also traded chocolate frog cards and had our last Butterbeer and went to every single corner of the Wizarding World and waved our goodbyes. Our skeletons will lie in the Wizarding World foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

An idiot rear ended us on a red light because he wasn't paying attention on the road. He didn't stop in time and hit us pretty badly from behind as we patiently stood at a red light on the way to my dentist's appointment. Thank God we survived with nobody getting hurt!

Eid ul Fitr 2020 Mubarak!
Eid was a special affair especially because it was the last one before my nieces moved out to their own house and became our neighbors! We had so much food and so much fun! I made my nieces an Eid card with a heart shaped hot air balloon on it. I plan to share that in more detail sometime later on my blog!
My Nieces Moved Out and We Became Neighbors
On the thirty first of May there were movers at my place to facilitate Bro's rukhsati to his new house down the road. My nieces and I became neighbors the next day. It was extremely emotional. I cried my eyes inside out when I left their place. I had literally raised them and now they'd be in a separate house, of course I cried so bad. They hugged me tight and I knew they felt the same way. Next day though our separation blues were gone and we were on to enjoying and celebrating being neighbors. Now we have TWO houses to hang out and have fun at and we meet everyday anyway! It's so cool! It's been the biggest and bestest life change of mine in 2020! I even took a Bubbster Care Package for them to celebrate the occasion when they invited us to our first ICE CREAM DATE! *super wide smile* Check out the care package here!
Chunky told me the next day that this time when she went to the new house I shouldn't cry, I should be happy! OTAYEE BEEYA? (Okay Beeya!) Hahahaha! Love the little munchkin!
Ice Creams, Lunches, and Play Dates with the Nieces at Madhouse #2!
Being neighbors is SO MUCH FUN! We're less than a minute away and it is so cool. This is the first time we had an ice cream date at their new place!
The Kitchen and Dining Remodel Project!
Some day I intend to do a detailed before/after style blog post about this. For now this is what I have. We got our kitchen and dining area remodeled. It was a kitchen and dining and sunroom area makeover and it all looks so beautiful now! It was much needed. But it was also such a hassle being kitchen-less for a good long time. This was one of our biggest events of 2020 for sure!
I Hopped onto the Dishwasher Wagon!
New kitchen makeover so new dishwasher so time to finally try using this appliance! Oh and how absolutely in love I am with it now. Why was I not washing my dishes in a dishwasher before?
I Got New Ovens!
Being such a baking addict this was HUGE for me. I got new ovens with the kitchen makeover and I absolutely love them. Hashtag blessed with the best! Hahaha!

Celebrated TEN Years of a Very Blessed Life in the USA
I baked chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting to celebrate his one month birthday and we got him a Sloth plush toy!
There was obviously no going out like usual thanks to Covid so I made the most of my Fall season from home. Even a tiny little short walk in Fall socks outside my house made my heart happy!

Disney's Castle Got a Makeover
None of the pictures are mine because I obviously couldn't go and see it in person! But I love this castle so much, it meant a big deal to me that it got a makeover. Thank goodness I got to see the classic one again as a grown up just a couple years before they changed it! Now I hope to go and see the new one!
Eid-ul-Adha Was Grand!
Now that the nieces are neighbors our Eid and birthday and other celebrations have become even more grand than before. Because now when they come over we go all out even more than before. LOVED doing Eid with my babies!

I made the Twinkle Sprinkle Little Star Baby Boy Cake for him and we welcomed him to our Bubbster Club as we celebrated his arrival in our lives over dinner. The Bubbster Club now has Bua, Beeya, Gubby, Chunky, and Hashlin the Sunny boy! *insert endless hearts here*
Survived a Tornado
It was scary. I saw it from my window. Thankfully nothing happened and it dissipated before it could even do any damage. But I saw the whole twister nightmare with my own eyes. That was a first and hopefully the last I ever have to witness in my life!

Dad Found My Original Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Book!
It is the absolute original version which started my obsession with the Harry Potter series. When I'd moved to the USA Dad was the one who had made me leave my books behind. He'd said there wasn't enough space in our luggage, that he'd send it to me later, or keep it safe until the next time I visited. Dad sent me a brand new US version boxed set later and even though I fell in love with it I still wanted the originals. When I visited next time my books were misplaced. I was devastated. Years later, Dad finally found it! It is the original one signed by Dad and dated April 1 2020. I can't wait for it to come to me!

Celebrated a Chocolate Frog Themed Birthday for Abbie!
This one really needs a reeeeeallly detailed blog post to do justice to how absolutely magical it was. Everything was just perfect! Abbie loved it. I made her a Chocolate Frog cake and got her and myself Chocolate Frog cushions and I even made her her own DIY chocolate frog birthday card! BRILLIANCE! This was just absolute brilliance! It needs a full lengthy picture-laden blog entry!
Gubby Darling Turned FIVE YEARS Old!!!
It was her first birthday in her new house so of course I had to do something special! We surprised her by dropping over at her place after breakfast with a super cute cake I made for her (details later!) and balloons and a pom pom garland and M&Ms! Hahaha! She was so surprised and so happy! We made her cut the cake and sang her a birthday song (she hates the song hahahahahah!) and then we came back home. The next day when she came over we gave her all her presents. I put together a scavenger hunt for her on her special request. She loved it! She found all her presents, then unwrapped them, and couldn't contain her excitement over everything!
Powerpuff Girls Themed Birthday for Gubby
Then we hosted a Powerpuff Girls themed birthday for Gubby! I made her the Powerpuff cake which she couldn't even believe was possible! *laughs* and we set up Powerpuff themed decorations and cooked up delicious lunch. She loved it! I loved it! And of course I shall be doing a detailed blog post on this as well!
